E-beefs.

no no no i'm not talkin about killing a cyber cow.

i'm talkin about hating over the net. it happens. you go to a forum, chat room or games channel and there's always someone there who you hate. who you take a disliking to, someone who disagree's to your points someone who just rubs you up the wrong way.

that person who annoys you simply cause he wants to.

we've all had them.

so what happens when they become something more? something that lil bit more sinister?

someone's emailed you. here you go mate what he/she did was wrong this is their address. do what you want dont tell me about it.

so if your hating enough. if you've really been pushed as far as you can - rightly or wrongly - whaddya do?

sadly a few weeks ago something like this became reality. a man drove over from germany to nottingham and killed a guy over what it seems is an e-beef.

and i'm sure that isnt the first nor will it be the last. i'm sure there's many more stories of people finding out other people's addresses and then showing up at the front door ready for a fight.

remember e-beefs = not cool.

Palin's "Slap In The Face" from Newsweek!

oh no!

not another Palin vs the media newspiece?!

could it be?!

this one is regarding the cover of Newsweek... and the former model isnt happy.

let me show you the cover first...

Ok so click on it - whats wrong? anything? nothing?

apparently the complaints are coming in that its not been touched up!
you've read right. the cover hasnt been photoshopped. the wrinkles, the facial hair, the dents and spots. all on show for the world to see!

The complaints are that apparently the covers that have had obama on them have been shown to be presidential, statesmen like and all the errors brushed out. and this one isnt.

i mean come on. palin and presidential just dont go.

Mrs Palin. Photoshopping can take out your wrinkles but it cant perform miracles.

When people get desperate...

no no no not desperate in the sense of need the toilet or desperate in the sense of goin for the most drunk girl in the club... but desperate in the sense of losing any hope they had...

people in that situation do different things

i think mccain is losing alot of hope and is getting quite desperate to hit on something that will give him the bounce he needs. the republicans are realising that hitting him on his policies isnt have an effect. so he's "taking the gloves off". well ok he isnt just yet but he's gettin everyone around him to start gettin down and dirty. call him this call his best mate that. and maybe some mud will stick. to be honest i thought it was the poorest effort they could make to get dirty. for a first low blow its very poor. its not sensationalist enough. its like saying oh remember that one time u were caught looking at page 3 nude pic? its like okkkkk and then everyone forgets about it.

what they should've done is really pushed the boat out. gone full wack. call him barrack osama. call him a risk to the nation as he has muslim sympathies. THAT would've given mccain the jump he needs.

they might aswell. there's scandals looming on the horizon that are gonna take them down. Palin's employees are set to testify in her power abuse case.

This is the man who will possibly take down the republicans election campaign apart. Walt Monegan has the chance now to immortalise himself on the little side bits of history as the man who refused to fire Palin's ex brother in law. course Palin has her own side but as things will pan out come the court day this will be very heavy on the polls.

Come on mccain. your debates are nothing special. you cancel each other out, your presentation is poor, your best mates wont be rigging this election for the republicans. come out of your corner fighting. this is rocky balboa in the last round of his life. you've got nothing to lose. if your gonna go down - go down fighting at least. this is the last election your gonna stand in. just remember one thing...

It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

NB i'm addin this segment a few hours later. i think someone at yahoo read this.

Tottenham Hotspurs FC

i have to admit i'm a bit partial to spurs, the british soccer club.

a few of their former players a amongst my favourites. Gary Lineker, Paul Gascoine and chris waddle. not to mention the likes of Osvaldo ardiles jurgen klinnsmann etc...

they've got a fantastic history - especially in the cup competitions. FA Cup winners 8 times.

in the league its a different story - last time they won the top league was during the 60/61 season.

and this season its no better. a recent columist on a spurs board commented how commiting suicide was less painful than watching them play!

It could not get worse for them as they lost to Hull City away on the 5th October. They are now seven games without a win with only two points.

this was the season. this was it. top four would become top 5. yeah they lost a few of their players to other clubs but they spent too. and now of course they had the great one there. not jose but juande ramos.

after the sacking of Jol, spurs need to give this guy some time - no doubt they'll get out of the relegation zone but things need to get going the right way soon. in this financially driven world of football where the money of the european football is king a lack of it means pressure of enormous means.

still it wouldnt surprise me come next weekend they're looking for another manager. the boo's have started and i'm sure the chairman is getting itchy at the thought that bank balance lookin slim line.

fans are quick to forget the cup run of last season where the messiah had been labelled.

Motivation...

Its a funny thing is motivation

sometimes the most mundane thing can motivate people to do an endless task.

like beer getting guys to motivate them to build a pyramid from a card pack. like feeling the need to impress a parent makes a child push themselves at school. like trying to gain acceptence from your peers makes you start to smoke. like the green of the paper makes you get out of bed even if you hate tony who sits next to you. thats motivation.

everyone needs it. even those that say they dont. its different from one person to another but its there.

what are the motivations in my life? if i'm totally honest...

the need for acceptance from my parents drives me on at work. the smile on my kids face when they eat something i've bought for them - a lil treat. the shaking of my wife's head knowing i've bought another useless thing i'll use for 5 mins.

what motivates me to carry on this blog?

some hope that it'll be super-popular and people from obama to musharaff will be quoting me?

that i'll be getting so many hits google advertising will fall at my feet with promises of millions?

maybe its the hope that i will bring peace and organised religion to the masses in china?

in all honesty?

its that lil statcounter thats reading around 70. i just love logging in and seeing that someone new has come on. from the big bad world of blogging. 70 people have logged onto mine. and just to let you know i am honoured... so what are your motivations to read this? ;) till the next time!
