muslim women in the news again. this time a woman who was jailed sued the jail for making her remove the scarf during a search. now they have to provide a private area for muslim women during searches and must be given county given head scarves in the presence of men.
wow. invalid train pass? and its cost orange county, CA $45K. thats an expensive refund!
Medina, 30, was arrested in December 2005 in Pomona for having an invalid train pass. She spent 12 hours in jail but was never prosecuted.
and finally sad news - the economy is startin its bite now... more and more homeless families with kids are coming onto the streets.
